You were enjoying it? I was starting to swear and curse "stupid fucking russians" hehe. Although I hate to lose men it was pretty fun. imo there are better meat grinder maps.

shame that ox has this crashing problem.

Yes i was enjoying it but i was still refamiliarizing with the keyboard layout and then i mined the other front so you were pretty much alone there. And this was on hard difficulty. A much more rewarding experience, kinda like L4D. We are defenately going at it again, on hard difficulty and we will succeed or get pwnd doing it.

Man, i still had my men ready to AT-nade the shit out of that German armor as it rolled in between the houses and into the streets. :P We could have taken them! Not to mention my big-ass tank sitting at the train depot...a total beast.

I goddamn hate those freezing issues. Don't know why they keep happening in MoW and not in other, more demanding games. I can play HL2 and its expansions for years without a single freeze. Same for Sims. Etc etc. It's insane. :(

Yea there were like ˇ12 tanks from that warehouse and 5+ coming from the other direction plust a crapload of soldats.

Im thinking of moving the machinegun into that warehouse so they wont cap it with soldats.

At one point, at the northern entrance (the one where the first attack comes from), there were random explosions around my defences. For about 5 mins I thought it was a tank shooting at us from long range, but lo and behold there were 2 germans manning a mortar hidden behind a wall. Thought that was very clever. In the end I sent one dude to throw a grenade over the wall and capture the mortar :D

well, the game's a lot more difficult than I anticipated. Pat of that has to do with practically no tutorial to speak of, horrible voice acting and no clue as to wtf I'm really supposed to be doing. I'm playing on easy...am I ust being a pansy or is that to be expected on the campaign mode? Hell, I only recently figured out how to rotate the view.

So anyway, I'm on the mission where one of the two faceless brothers escapes from the krauts. I ended up playing the mission a couple times when I got him killed (oops), then managed to clear most of the map before getting a 'objective failed' message about hooking up with the resistance. Ok...how was I supposed to do that again? Whatever...so, the mission didn't end, so I stalked around the map and killed everyone. But the mission never ended.

So, anyway, the game's kinda fun but also kinda annoying. The cut scene graphics are horrific. but over all I enjoy it. Defending the factory was kinda fun, even when 500 tanks showed up.

Wait till you get to play that trainyard map with us online, on hard, it is going to be hilarious. Last time we got to about 66% and our defences were already failing :D Great fun. I never made it past that level, i just gave up on the singleplayer, grinding krauts with derf online was much more interesting.

oh ok, I don't feel so bad now. Yea, I failed that mission the first time I played it (on easy) at around 85%. Having figured out where stuff was coming from, I did a better job of laying down mines and was able to beat it the second time (barely). Fun map though, if a bit frustrating.

Not to be a smug bastard, but you haven't seen anything yet man :) One of the later Soviet maps has you holding on to three lines of trenches against an INSANE German invasion. It'll have you holding on by nothing more than a few hairs in anything else than Easy, unless you're a complete MoW God. :o

It's a glorious map too, if only for the sheer scope and carnage. But the incoming forces are so overwhelming it's crazy.

hmm...I just played a map where I was defending against hordes of russians with Moscow behind me or whatever. I survived it, but I think I ended up with like 5 guys left after holding the first set of trenches and somewhere around the same holding the second. Now I'm just counterattacking.. I think any time I lose a tank I get more, so it's just a killing fun thing.
