Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter
Ok, so I played this game and beat it. It takes a very special kind of person to dig tactical shooters...it's not a run and run type thing. It typically takes a LONG time of slinking around putting a bullet or three into people.
But anyway, it was pretty cool. I liked Rainbow Six back in the day, and then Ghost Recon when that first came out. This is more of the same good stuff. It takes place entirely in Mexico City...which, as people may imagine, gets a bit old after awhile. The environments gets pretty damned repetitive.
On a positive note, the enemies are tough. I played the stupid embassy level like 20 times before switching the difficulty to easy.

At the same time, there's just a perverse thrill to running out of ammo on your primary weapon and struggling to put bullets in badguys with your little sidearm before they pwn you. The pure violence can be exhilirating.
