Gutted. I just watched Jackass 3.5 the other day.

Apparently he was doing 110 mph (180 kph) though. I'm sad for his family that he's dead, but it's hard not to think he kind of called it on himself at a speed like that. The more since alcohol was also implicated to be involved.

Yea, supposedly he drank beer and did shots before driving off... and apparently going 110mph? He can kill himself all he wants (well, not any more, I guess), but it's lucky he didn't take someone else out as well. He could've broad-sided a church van or something.... so yea, it could've had positive outcomes, I suppose.

Yeah, that's pretty much what I was thinking. Sucks that he's dead and all, but if he was drunk driving at 110 mph I'm not gonna feel too sorry for him. That's just fucked up.

Quote:
Pennsylvania police said today that "Jackass" star Ryan Dunn was drunk before crashing his Porsche 911 GT3 at 130 mph on Monday, killing himself and a friend. Tests show he had a blood alcohol of 0.196 percent, twice the legal limit.

Dunn, 34, and his passenger, Zach Hartwell, a former Navy SEAL and friend of Dunn's who had worked with some other members of the "Jackass" crew, had been drinking at a suburban Philadelphia bar Barnaby's in the hours before the crash. Dunn had a prior DUI conviction.

So, twice the alcohol limit and going even faster than I previously reported, at 130 mph (225 kph). Yeah...a jackass indeed.

I want a Porsche 911 GT3 and an ex-SEAL friend. :(

Correct me if i'm wrong, but almost 0,2% that should be equivalent to 2 promille, so 10 times the allowed limit here.
That's pretty drunk if you ask me (and pretty stupid obviously).

Surprised that the drinking limit would be 1 promille though.

Isn't Belgium 0.5 J? Not that I would know, I don't drive a motorized vehicle so I can get as drunk as I want to.

These are the Pennsylvania drinking laws btw

I do agree, his death was his own doing - but look at his lifestyle and that of the cast around him. In a weird way, I wouldn't have wanted him to die in any other way [except maybe in a filmed stunt]. However, you are correct - it's a good thing he didn't hit a small kid or something.

Mm seems you're right ox, they want(ed) to change it to 0,2 though. Guess that got me confused.

Kill himself fine, but he took someone else with him. Agree it's probably the kind of death he'd have wanted though, nothing boring.

Fair enough. And his friend had a voice too... hell, he was a Navy SEAL. He probably could've killed Ryan and taken over driving the car without too much difficulty.

OH I've no doubt his mate was as drunk and stupid as him ;) hehe. Not hating on him as such, just y'know. Can't respect a guy for that, just also figure he was happy when he went.
