1) Mark Lawrenson commentating: The guy had an immensely annoying voice, face and haircut. His knowledge of football is relevant to his own career, ie, 1970's Liverpool. His primary school level of english pun and vocabulary is as enfuriaring as it is cringeworthy. Someone fire this cunt before I beat him to death with my flip flop. 2) The trumpets: I don't find them very annoying, just fairly irritating. To think that the crowd find some form of enjoyment out of it, is very saddening. Just fucking ban them. 3) The "censoring" of argie-bargies / ding-dongs / scuffles between players. This is part of what I want to see. Think of it like instead of showing ice hockey fights, they show you a deliberate slow motion replay of 5 minutes ago when a player scratching his ass. 4) Biased, but mostly intensely ignorant and redundant opinions of all english commentators. Complaining when play is "slow" or when scorelines are below double figures, insisting that such games are boring or the teams are playing badly. These people know nothing about football. Typical of shit British TV broadcasting. I'm gonna try and watch the whole thing on RAI. |

1) Don't have to deal with that 2) Yeah, the vuvuzelas suck major ass. Some TV stations have already managed to somewhat lessen their sound though. But in the first 20 mins of Uruguay-France it was almost unbearable. 3) lol - they actually intentionally censor the scraps? I didn't notice it yet. Is it a British thing or a FIFA guideline? 4) Except for a very small minority, almost every football 'pundit' is a complete and utter moron. ![]() You should shop around your World Cup coverage yeah. Count yourself lucky you understand Italian, watching in another language isn't an option for a vast majority of Brits. ![]() |
