Palin is a freaking dangerous fanatic

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/05/1 ... 69922.html

Really!? The American revolution and constitution were based in Christian theology? That's a damn lie. I would add 'and she knows it', but I'm pretty sure she has no clue so that would be undeserved. Crazy broad and her Tea Party kooks.

Yup. It gets better:

The Alaska governor and vice-presidential candidate, according to their version, did not know that Africa was a continent, could not name all three countries in the North American Free Trade Agreement (that would be the US, Canada and Mexico) and declined to prep for her now infamous Katie Couric interview.

Furthermore, the McCain aides told Cameron that Mrs Palin threw tantrums over bad press reviews and was a shopaholic. He also reported that chief McCain foreign policy advisor Randy Sheunemann was fired late in the campaign for allegedly leaking details of the splits.

heh, Palin is an idiot. Most people would agree, except for the hard core conservatives, but they're mostly idiots as well. BTW, that first article had a great comment

I can tell you who Im not voting for in 2 years. Barry Soetoro.

Also, LOL Huffington Post.

Also, I read the article and I dont see where the outcry is? All she is saying is that "
Quote:
Go back to what our founders and our founding documents meant -- they're quite clear -- that we would create law based on the God of the bible and the ten commandments"
Well, heres a new flash
Quote:
"Roman Catholics were the first major religious group to immigrate to the New World, as settlers in the colonies of Portugal and Spain (and later, France) were required to belong to that faith. English and Dutch colonies, on the other hand, tended to be more religiously diverse. Settlers to these colonies included Anglicans, Dutch Calvinists, English Puritans, English Catholics, Scottish Presbyterians, French Huguenots, German and Swedish Lutherans, as well as Quakers, Mennonites, Amish, Moravians and Jews of various nationalities.
Many groups of colonists came to the Americas searching for the right to practice their religion without persecution.

Let me also add that I am a firm believer in seperation between church and state. The bible, the old T, has some pretty crazy rules. Im pretty sure , about 99% confident, she is not meaning old T rules. What she's really probably getting at is adortion and gay marriage which clearly is in bible verse ______ and ______. I think this aticle and her quote or more bad word usage or explantion due to her inexperiance as a major politcal figure. But good job overreacting about something you have no control over. What do you care who gets elected in a country you dont even live in. Its not like our laws apply to you anyway.

Because I find it scary when people are almost openly making arguments for a system that clearly does not involve seperating church and state? And who is in power in the US has a little more impact on what happens here than, say, Somalia or Iran. Furthermore, issues like gay marriage and abortion are for me beyond states and laws and more in line with human rights.

Either way, good to hear you favor a seperation between church and state. Also, the "God of the Ten Commandments" is very much the Old Testament, but I suppose you knew that.

Hey 11b, what's up!

Obviously we disagree on religious beliefs. Though I'll agree that Christians were among the first groups to immigrate to the US, many of them came here to flee religious persecution... mostly by other Christians. It would be unfortunate to establish a government that persecutes other religious beliefs. I'd rather just not see religion in government at all. But I'm sure we'll have to agree to disagree. :P

I'm still not a fan of Palin. But I'm not a fan of most politicians. I think 95% of them are crooked, thieves and liars, hypocrites and bastards.
