So this satellite called Solar Dynamics Observatory just had its first images revealed to the public by Nasa. It's pretty freakin' awesome. Someone called it a Hubble for the sun. article: http://science.nasa.gov/science-news/sc ... irstlight/

Haha, that sentence alone brought a smile on my face. Anyway, news like this give confidence that there is still hope for mankind to take to the stars one day.
