Quote:
No Rise of Atmospheric Carbon Dioxide Fraction in Past 160 Years, New Research Finds

ScienceDaily (Dec. 31, 2009) — Most of the carbon dioxide emitted by human activity does not remain in the atmosphere, but is instead absorbed by the oceans and terrestrial ecosystems. In fact, only about 45 percent of emitted carbon dioxide stays in the atmosphere.

But but Al Gore said...

45% is still quite a lot. By the way, all that CO2 makes the oceans more acidic, which isn't a good thing for ocean life.

I'm still kind of skeptical that we're contributing a significant proportion of greenhouse gases.

I'm a skeptic. I'm not sure which side is right and I'm not sure I'll ever know. There's so much fud and astroturfing on both sides I'm mostly just annoyed with the whole debate.

On the other hand, I see nothing wrong with reducing pollution... I think that's a worthy goal regardless if global climate change is real or not. I'd also rather get away from oil and onto renewable resources like hydrogen or solar or whatever. That's as much to starve a certain portion of the world of cash as anything.

This only proves(not that I need to be convinced otherwise) that scientist know jack squat about whats really going on. I mean how long have they been shoving down our throats co2 and the ozone and greenhouse gasses bla bla bla. O wait its not in the atmosphere its in the water.
