Cool stuff. Berlin is awesome too though - places like the Ostel (a hostel/hotel) in straight-up East German style.

oh...east German style... I was expecting raw red brick walls, concrete floor and a secret Stasi torture chamber in the basement.

The torture chamber is only if you pay extra. 
And the concrete floors are all overlaid with hideous asthma-inducing carpet floors, duh.
