This time, we're really ALL GOING TO DIE!!! Anyway, any thoughts on this outbreak? I'm getting a bit tired of the instant panic these events generate, but on the other hand, if don't do anything and hell breaks loose, that's no good either. |

that's the first I've heard of it. Well, I guess we'll see. If it gets a lot worse, i'll just barricade myself in my house with my guns and wait for everyone to die. There's always an immune minority... when the thing kills itself out I'll emerge from my fortress and assume my rightful place as leader of the world. Realistically though, I don't think we have much to worry about. SARs was a far more serious threat and it didn't end up doing much. |

I bet Satis is sitting at home now with his guns, waiting at the bottom of the basement stairs with a shotty for the horde to pour in. ![]() erh...sorry...L4d is just too fucking good. ![]() Additionally, I've been ill lately. Feverish and with a cold. So if you don't hear from me anymore, I probably collapsed with Mexican swine flu. |

yay, they shut down a school near me because of swine flu. I feel so safe. What's awesome is how the media is sensationalizing it to make it sound way worse than it actually is. Bunch of manipulative bastards. There've been 12! cases in the US. But it's much worse than that! Blah blah blah! We're all going to die! |

If you want to know what places to avoid to postpone our inevitable deaths, check Google Maps. |

Seriously with all of the drug cartel bullshit going on in Mexico lately, why the hell would you want to go to that hauvel anyway? /sigh. Yea, I have coworkers freaking out about this. Sad really. Noone other than mexicans have died. Why is that? Heathcare sucks there. They don't get the needed rehydration, etc needed for that type of loss of bodily fluids. Furthermore, I still think you are an idiot to go into an area that has a buch of sick people. If I know people are sick around me with even a simple cold, I'm staying the hell away. Snot is not attractive on anyone! Anyway, yes they closed 2 schools near Satis and I but, I'm not worried. Hell if it is around, with my immune system I will get it. I get sick way to often. Why stress about it. |

There was a healthcare specialist speaking on radio yesterday. She said the flu is treatable. Its just you cant get a pre-emtive vaccination against it. So if anyone died because of it, they failed to get the right treatment. |

Yeah i think we in Western Europe have enough anti-viral medication to prevent the flu from making too many casualties. If it ever gets here. So i'm not worried. |

The US government released 10million doses of medicine that can treat the flu from the national stockpile. It's extremely unlikely that many cases would develop, but even if it gets really bad, that'll handle it. And it's only like 1/3 or 1/5 or something of what we have in reserve, so if the shit really hits the fan we'll still be covered. and that's not including privately held stocks. Anyway, I was much more worried about SARs. That really had the potential to cause serious problems. This is nothing. |

Seems like only small children (6-14 or so) are really succumbing to it so far. Which means us adults who've seen tons of infections and viruses come and go should be perfectly safe if somewhat healthy. ![]() Lol @ what I think is a reference to the Pandemic flash game (Madagascar being notoriously hard to infect). ![]() |

The odd thing is, apparently it's mostly us young adults getting affected. Anyway, I'm not afraid of anything, least of all some goddamn flue. But it's fun to see panic spread everywhere without real information. |

Mexico released a statment that they have reduced the nr of people who have died from 20something to down to 7. The rest out of reported 180 casualties are just suspects. So thats 7 people that have been proven laboratorily that they actually died from the flu. wtf, we loose more people in car accidents per week. |
