Snapped a few pictures. This is the first time i saw cannons there so i decided to take a few pics, with my mobile phone, hence the abysmal quality. Later, i took pictures with a more decent camera but those ended up in another computer. There were some items from an estonian who served in the US Cavalry regiment. |

err, i havent even served in the estonian military yet. I'm a member of the homeland defence, or defence league, the one that is voluntary to join but not so voluntary once in. I'll dig up the name of the person who served there later. As for models and service, no can do

Is that like the "reserve army" Peltz? In Belgium, you can sign up for the reserve army as a volunteer while keeping your regular job, and you have to spend a few weeks a year at the army. My high school principal used to be a colonel in the reserve army, so apparently they can rise up the ranks pretty high too. |

Oh, my bad Peltz, I misread your first post. 
I was in the national guard for a year or so. That's similar to the reserves. You have to go drill a weekend a month and then go do a field exercise for 2 weeks once a year. So you can still have a regular job and life. |

What are the benefits? I imagine there are some, apart from having the 'honor' of defending your country.

A minor increase to income, the potential to be trained by the military for some job or other that you presumably want to acquire the skills for, plus you can put that kind of stuff on your resume. Military service is typically looked on favorably by hiring people. |
