Torture some fucker to a slow, painful death. No, I'm not talking about the people cutting lines at the supermarket or anything - not quite thinking about thinning out the herd just yet. :P

But yesterday some 20-yr old whackjob bust into a nursery home (!) wielding knives, an axe and a fake gun and started stabbing fucking TODDLERS and the staff. He killed two children and one of the nurses, and wounded about 10-12 others (some severely). He rode away on his bike only to be apprehended by the police a little later. No motive is known so far (he hasn't let anything go) and there seems to be no connection between him and the nursery.

His face was painted, he was wearing a bullet-proof vest and had a backpack full of knives. Just a wanton act of (baby) murder.

Jesus fucking Christ, right? Just when you think you know how fucked up human beings can get, something like this comes along and shocks you. Children of 1-3 years old, that's just...bah. It just sickens me to think of it.

It wouldn't surprise me if he gets stabbed or shot by someone. What a worthless piece of shit coward.

If one of the fathers went and did a fairly honorable thing and murdered this psycho, whatas the legislative reaction to that?

Im only asking cos should that happen to me one day, my first and only thought would be to settle scores.

Meh, in the US you'd probably be found guilty of 'crime of passion' or something else... spend a couple months in a jail, then walk. My guess at least. I heard about that... pretty jacked up what people will do. But you name it, someone's depraved enough to do it.

it's not so much that I'm surprised that people will do crazy shit, for some reason it's just the fact that he's chosen to do this to completely helpless babies what gets to me. I dunno. I'm not much of a children person either, but hey.

For some reason I am usually pretty unperplexed when crime in general happens to your average Joe or Jane, but am deeply disgusted when its directed at the 'vulnerable' members of our society. Children, handicapped, the elderly. They often don't have any chance of defending themselves (not that you have much of chance of defending yourself against a crazed gunman wielding a combat shotgun, but you know what I mean :P ).

A few years ago I read a story about a blind man who was waiting for the bus. He had his special braille-modified laptop with him, which allowed him to 'read' texts - expensive stuff. Some guy walked up to him, pretended to be a policeman and asked him some questions. The blind guy put his laptop at his feet to answer, only to have the guy steal it and run off with it. Stealing a blind man's goddamn braille laptop. Makes me want to push that fucker under a tram.

Heh, maybe I should channel all that rigtheous rage into something useful. Like vigilante duty. :P All I need is a good nickname and a stretch costume.

Dude, you sound like you want to be a cop. Anyway, people are just bastards. Stabbing infants is pretty jacked up, but he's definitely not the first to have done something absolutely despicable to children. There was a lady in our city (years and years ago) who took a butcher's knife and hacked off the limbs of her baby. Then there's the equally detestable child molesters who get jobs in day cares and, well, molest children. It's a jacked up ass world.

This is a new caring side to ox ive never seen before

I almost actually applied for police when i was looking for work last year. i see it as something fairly respectable to do, and satisfying.

going back to the discussion however, this thing didnt really surpise me but i suppose it does make us think how lucky we are. that these things are a kind of rarity where we live. in iraq for instance it seems like normality to me

yea, being a cop is no fun. Busting bad guys is about 5% of your job. The rest is putting up with bullshit politics and doing paperwork. Screw all that. Just like being in the Army isn't all about killing people. :P

Wtf is this talk about me being a cop?! :P As much as I like the idea of bossing people around, I don't think i'd make a very good (read: clean) cop. Then again, most cops aren't anywhere clean.

I have a cousin who's in the police. A stand up guy. But he tells me the majority of the force are racists, retards and/or hustlers. And then there's the occasional loser with a power trip. Yeah, doesn't sound like my kind of job. :P Maybe I'd apply as an investigator or summit. But standard policework...nah.
