I am currently loving US TV!! (In Miami for school this semester fyi peoples).
Every Sunday, there is a massive 'House' marathon on cable... Ah, massive doses of my favourite snarky doc.
*hugs TV*

haha...I've played a bunch of stalker... watched some tv. To me, there's rarely anything good on... Simpson's, Family Guy, Mythbusters... that's about it. I watch Sarah Connor Chronicles and Heroes, but I download those. And Heroes is about as overacted and poorly written as ever.
Err, anyway, yes, tv sucks. 400 channels and nothing on. How you enjoying Florida, Suga?

I completely about Heroes atm, Season 1 was the best... but it still screws with your mind, this time in a totally annoying nonsensical way.
Florida has been pretty spiffy so far! I've been here almost 2 months now and am having a blast. I popped home last weekend for for my sisters wedding, and am still paying for it in jetlag and screwed sleep cycles... but my procrastinating student/gamer genes are helping me fight lack of sleep!

Good to hear you're having a blast in the US Suga, even with the jetlags. I trust you've heard quite a few attempts to imitate your Aussie accent already?
I never really watched heroes, even though the concept always did intrigue me and some episodes I watched were cool. I'm more into Battlestar Galactica (someone sound the geek alert).
Derf, don't feel bad. My weekend consisted of...Saturday: playing some Xbox 360, ordering PC online, going to a Lasagna benefit for a friend of mine (yep...lasagna benefit. No joke). Sunday: playing Blood through Dosbox, searching for work online, visiting my grandmother and watching a movie.
Can you say: saddest weekend ever? Lasagna benefit and visiting my grandmother? Yeah...not exactly shooting up junk at a local strip club while seducing a college girl. Next weekend better be bangin'!!

I haven't had a shooting-up-junk while at a strip-club weekend in a long time. And actually I'm a Battlestar Galactica fan as well...though they better end it soon. It's starting to peter out a bit. Still waiting for the season to start, though. I'm also a Metalocalypse fan.
Anyway, glad you're digging Miami, Suga. Florida's too damned hot for me.
Oh yea, my Saturday was pretty weak too, so don't feel bad. I think buying groceries was the high point. Either that or stalker and screaming at it when it randomly crashed.

lol. Exciting indeed. Maybe we're just getting old? Used to be I did some crazy shit pretty much every weekend. But then, I didn't have a job back then.
As for BSG...I think you're further ahead in the series so I'm not gonna go into it too much here with you. Let me just say that even towards the end of season 2 some episodes are seriously lame. If you can remember them: "Black Market" and "Scar" are excruciatingly dull.
On the bright side, the first half/middle of season 2 is some of the best TV I've ever seen.
Gonna start season 3 soon. Gaius Baltar rocks...and Starbuck, of course. though she is getting mushy.

I spend my whole saturday digging holes and connecting pipes to the sewer (sewage system). Not exactly what i call a great saturday either
And sunday i've been working for school whole day.
I did went out for dinner twice, and had some duvels. So it's not the worst weekend ever.

Oh but is this how we spent our last Sat?! Hm...
Whole Sat I was preparing for press next three chapters of a book for my students. On the Sunday I slept till 11 a.m. and then did random stuff. I needed rest after a whole day of monkey work.

Talking about bad weekends: I got myself a food poisoning yesterday. Both sluices have been open since 6 in the morning today.

Oh really? I poison myself by food twice in three weeks in this shitty Bulgaria. The worse is that Serbia starts producing the same shitty food under the influence of the shitty EU. We were producing extra food in comparison to the whole region before starting to 'assimilate' our standards to EU's. Actually EU is pushing this low standards to all small countries and EU-wannabes, while they keep their own standard high. They probably want to destroy local food producers totally before they start selling their own products. I live for the day to see rich EU countries destroyed and tasting just a portion of what they inflicted everywhere else. The most recent Wall Street depression is just nothing.

haha. Food poisoning sucks. I got into some poison ivy kinda stuff 2 weeks ago... it took about a week of being very itchy before I was mostly over it. Good stuff. It happens at least once a year, I swear. That stuff is killer.
Anyway, I still do stuff on the weekends, just not when I'm broke as hell. Which I am. And I'll continue to be through most of November, probably. Blah.
