Post subject:  study shows toxic chemicals in air fresheners
..and laundry products.

Basically, there's no requirement that a manufacturer list the ingredients used in air fresheners or laundry detergents. The researcher analyzed 6 different products when people told her they felt sick around the smells. Turns out that there are an assload of chemicals being released, including several that are toxic and basically illegal.

"Nearly 100 volatile organic compounds were emitted from these six products, and none were listed on any product label. Plus, five of the six products emitted one or more carcinogenic 'hazardous air pollutants,' which are considered by the Environmental Protection Agency to have no safe exposure level," Steinemann said.

lol, yea. Wtf is a company thinking if they put a known carcinogen in an aerosol product? I'm hoping it's an accidental byproduct of the manufacturing process and they didn't just stuff it in there for the hell of it.

Blergh, I don't doubt it.
Canned air fresheners smell like butt.
