One of the good things of the summer is that you can stay in all day to watch sports on television. There's plenty of tennis, cycling and this year there are the Summer Olympics and the European Championship football. I'm not going to make a huge poll with all the candidates so I'll just give a few predictions: Champions: Italy. I expect them to win group C and then cruise to a place in the finals. As for my own team (Holland), I think we'll survive the group phase (I'm not impressed by France), but I think Russia's gonna surprise us in the quarter finals. Who do you root for? |

Well I only really follow the world cup (and just try to stop me watching that hehe, it's not possible  ) but I will kinda support someone in Euro 08 of course. Since stupid England failed to qualify  and poor Scotland never make it into any big tournaments, I basically just hope anyone except France or Germany wins

England fails to perform on international tournaments because there's no place for English talents at English top clubs. The only thing they do is buy foreigners with the loads of cash from their sugar daddies. |

I want an underdog to win it. Like Sweden, I always liked Sweden. I fancied Czechs as a good favorite to win, but they played poorly yesterday. However they got the 3 points, so playing shitty and still winning ... always a combination that gets you far, especially since they'll get better in the tournament. Look at Italy most of times 
Not impressed by the level of play in the first 2 matches. 2 times the favorites win it, but didn't really deserve the 3 points. |

Portugal isn't allowed to win because of that pussy Ronaldo. Stupid attention whore with his "I'm staying at United oh no I want to go to Real" crap. Bonus points for the guy who kicks him out of the tournament. Shame Boulahrouz isn't match fit. Which is exactly the reason why we won't get far. Our players are made of sugar, they already get injured when there's too much wind. And we still miss someone like Jaap Stam. |

+ 1 on Ronaldo sentiments. I just don't like his whole "oh I missed, now let me get all dramatic about it for the cameras" thing. I think he's a fag. Besides, he had a real stinker last game. It's one thing peeling open premiership club defences, but it's entirely another at international level. Just seen most of DE vs PL and to be honest DE didn't impress me at all. They are so uninventive. They rely on pace and overlap to get in on goal. No talent to slice defences open with a through-pass or anything. Lahm pisses me off. It's as if he's determined to get through his career using his right foot only. Italy v Netherlands tomorrow, so that's going to be very interesting. Let's see if NL's can be fucked to play. I have a feeling Italy's class is still fresh from the world cup, but we'll see. |

I appear to have missed the ronaldo bashing earlier, how silly of me..I can't stand him basically, for all the reasons above, that stupid pouty expression he pulls when he misses/gets fouled (read as 'dives')/doesn't get given a penalty (again, read as 'dives') makes me want to hit him in the face with a shovel. Ya rly. |

Well at 42 minutes into the game, Dutch are leading 2 to 0 against Italy. My pref Ned over Ita and Ita over most others. |
