My brothers laptop got infected. It spreads through MSN Messenger. It includes a link that has PHOTOBUCKET and pic5153.jpg in it or something like that. DO NOT ACCEPT OR DOWNLOAD. If you see someone sending that, inform them about having a virus. |

I hate MSN too. Last week someone convinced me again to install messenger, but halfway the installation sequence I stopped. What a piece of crap. First it wants to install useless Microsoft Live shit, then the download for MSN itself fails. Why the hell do I have to download some executable when that stupid thing itself needs to download more shit? |

mm, I use 3rd party IM apps that plug into MSN. No clue if those are subject to the virus or not. Ah well, I never accept downloads either unless I'm warned about it. |

Just make sure when you receice a link or a file, that it is accompanied by text from your friend. In my case, and some of you to who english is not native language, if i dont see estonian text with the link then i ask if the link was sent by the person in question. |

There is offline installation thing. Dunno if it's the newest one, but it should work for simple messaging. As for the Sat's point - right. But I still don't like any of those multi-protocol gadgets. Probably I do not need it all that much. |
