Huge fire in walsall area, video on the uplaod.

Whilst video uploads, the building appears to be an old fake clothes factory, it's collapsed several times.

Sweat is dripping off me.

Pictures on videos.

This fire is spreading fast, we've been told to stay inside.

God help us.

Sorry for not editing and repated posts, in a rush, postiong in a lot of places.

Hi, we've had to evacuate. Before we left I grabbed my documents and also my phone/data cable. We've gone to parents about a mile away, the fire is still blazing and has spread across 3 buildings, though we think they put the third building out.

The second building has pretty much gone, and is also right next to a brand spanking new asda.

The wind was blowing towards out flat so we had to get out as things were setting on fire near our only exit, never mind our building, however, we think and hope they've got our building sorted. No fires when we left.

The sky looked amazing (and terrifying) it was FULL of fire... the flames must have been about 200ft in the air on the second building. And of course red hot embers were floating all over the place. Quite beautiful.

I'll be uploading the video from my phone as quick as I can, just downloading the required software on this PC.

Will post back soon with update - this video includes the collapse of the first one, along with sound including our new hit single "Walsall town is burning down, burning down, burning down!"

We're back in our flat now. 2 buildings totally gutted, the third one has lost 2/3rds of its roof but is lower down so we can't see if its been gutted or not. We got into our flat via the shopping centre we back onto because the whole top half of town is closed off, but we have to stay in and keep windows closed because there's basically 1 half collapsed building (reports say 60% of it collapsed), 1 fire chimney and 1 empty shell of a building, all of which may have to be torn down sometime soon, not to mention the fact that there's obviously still a lot of smoke coming off it (and drifting roughly our direction). Tbh its probably still on fire inside the chimney somewhat.

It was amazing watching it but absolutely terrifying as well. Got some great vids and pics though. Based on when Mole first smelt the smoke and what first reports say, it started at around 22.30, and when we last saw it was still burning, it was about 4.30. It was probably a good hour or two at least after that before it was 'out' (still smouldering no doubt a little), possibly even longer.

I've got access to the videos taken out of my window now. It looks so far away on this camera, but the fire was landing in out back yard, we had to put out several small fires back there. I'll post again as soon as they are uploaded.

I'm also uploading the one on my phone, which is lower quality but has sound and includes the building collapse. Fucking Scary.

These flames are about 200ft up in the air, by the way.

Still working on the one with sound.

Anyone know of some good software that can rotate and convert 3GP videos?

W00t, finally some really HOT action.
I'm sorry I couldn't record results of NATO bombings during '99. Now THAT was scary, at least to the unarmed civils.

Got my stuff up:

http://www.pevilsplace.co.uk/vids/walsallfire.wmv - its about 25mb. You can see at the start there's just the one factory on fire (the one we watched from the street) and watch it spread and totally gut the second building. You can spot some huge bits of debris in the air, and even see the firecrew walking round on the buildings.

And finally my pictures:
The first factory on fire, from our flat. Some amazing detail in there
First factory again
The second one is up now
The aftermath - first factory
The aftermath - second factory
The aftermath - third roof

You don't see shit like this every day. When I saw the sheer amount of smoke out the window I had to take my camera. The building collapse was awesome, but I admit I started shaking.

I remember when an old warehouse burned down near my downtown apartment, ofcourse compared to the one you had, it was like a picnic fire or something :D

Anyway yea the temperature was high enough so that rear lights on the cars turned soft enough you could poke different shapes in them, they turned elastic.

And the metal fences, yeap, if one wanted, could've grilled something on it :D

This was maybe 10 years ago.
