I read in the newspaper that the "rats" the size of a dog and small pigs in Russian subway is a hoax too. Apparently one newspaper played a joke on people.
1. Rats cant stand the vibration.
2. There are special trains that spray pressurized cleaning stuff into the metro so the enviroment is extremely hostile for them.

Its been confirmed that the pig was indeed an overfed farm animal, probably died of cardiac arrest. Anyway judging by the size of that thing, its legs probably couldnt carry that weight anyway, so it had to be put down sooner or later.
