ok, first I heard of this, I thought it was bullshit. But it's rather widespread news, apparently. http://news.google.com/news?hl=en&ned=u ... 20-ap.html According to the articles, a memo was leaked that showed Tony Blair talking George W out of bombing Al-Jazeera headquarters in Qatar. 
Qatar = friendly country. Al-Jazeera = journalists. If this is true, I'm a shocked. And wonderful. Like America doesn't have enough of a reputation of being a bunch of psychotic cowboys. |

Isn't one of the goals of the war on terror to spread democracy and freedom of speach to the middle east? If so mr. Bush seems to make great progress.

And yeah, wtf is up with that...that would have been insane, Bush and his think tanks are getting a little too ideological imho...why don't we just bomb hospitals too, so that they wounded can't get up and fight again? Or mosques, to kill all the radicalists hiding in them?
Bush is getting close to one of the worst presidents in American history...still behind Reagan, but hey.  He'll get there some day.

Least Blair has some sort of intelligence. Bush hasn't seemed to realise that HAMs (Hearts and Minds) works a lot better than having fun playing soldiers. |

Nixon? Horrible president, but did really well after he stopped being president. Same with Jimmy Carter. I think we'll just have to agree to disagree on Reagan. Some could argue that he helped end the cold war, y'know.
