Nah, I agree, there's no way to interpret some of those question results in any way other than psychotic right wingers. The problem with those polls though is that there's no way to know how they were administered or how the questions were asked. It's really easy to skew results in some direction you want by just asking the questions in a certain way or in a certain order. *shrug*

Regarding socialism.... I'm not against the idea of centralized health care. The current way certainly isn't working out... health costs are absolutely ridiculous. On the other hand, nobody is turned away for important medical care, either, even if they can't pay. Still, I'm not exactly against centralized health care. The way the Obamaplan is going to end up, though, is that I'm going to spend even more money for health care and get even less return. The only one that'll profit are the private health care lenders. It annoys me to no end, since I can't even opt out. At least with the current health care system, if I so desire, I could just not get insurance and deal with problems as I arise. I'm pretty healthy... I could probably save a significant amount of money a year.

At any rate, I don't think we disagree, I just take those poll results with a really big grain of salt.

Starsky and Hutch Torino crashes. Notice how the car frame bends after the landing. Its a good thing they left it in there, i dont think anyone would believe a classic could handle such a landing.

look at the pic's name. Derf felt left out and lonely to see us all in the same game (TF2), because he hates the game. So he posts a pic of a lonely child watching the sea...as his pals are all off having fun using nicknames like "OLOL DERF IS n00B". Okay, that last part didn't happen. But still!

And I wasn't playing for realz man, sheesh! I spent the last 20 mins you were there as an engi getting my shit blown up by demomen because our team's soldiers and demos were utter utter shit and couldn't even stop non-ubered demos from taking out my sentry nests. I also noticed how playing for the team (not as a medic) often nets you very little points...it's a little annoying. Like when you joined our game at first, I was defending our final cap as a soldier. I cleared it a few times, but mostly just did ordnance...but yeah, end of the round I'm at the bottom of the table while the soldiers who run towards the enemy on assault and who don't give a rat's ass about the CP are racking up the kills. :/ Same with scout...I often use bonk to get behind the enemy to harass them, or just break up their attack/confuse them/distract sentries. Often gets me killed without getting a point, but much more useful than most players who just spend the entire game shooting rockets from around a corner. :argue:

Haha, Ox at what point did you actually think that life is fair? :D I uninstalled that game months ago, there was nothing left for me in it.

heh, Ox makes it sound like I'm a point whore. I agree, our time sucked. We got trounced repeatedly. But whatever, I still enjoy playing, most of the time. When I started getting pissed off a lot is when I put the game down for a few months. *shrug* That was actually a really decent server for us... I pinged around 120, which is still kinda high, but totally doable. Doesn't really compare favorably to the 6ms pings I get on some servers, but whatever.

I actually enjoyed playing heavy, not something I usually enjoy all that much. It was quite effective on some of those maps. Usually it's annoying as I end up getting headshot or backstabbed because of crappy teammates. Maybe next time we can dual-engie. That's always fun... lets you build up equipment with a quickness.

ridiculous, cheap, plastic Wii controllers ftw

from the link that got me to the video below, found this entertaining:
Quote:
Designed for games like Wii Sports Resort and Jillian Michaels' Angry Sports Resort, this is something that would probably only enter your home as an ill-considered Christmas gift before gathering dust in the back of a closet...

This cracks me up a good one. :d :D :D

The video quality isn't that great but just watch it.

You need to have seen The Pianist for it to make any comedic sense.

I find it hilarious. Imagine the scene... A proud arrogrant Nazi officer busts into some jew vagabond's house and is trying to find a reason not to kill him. The german is at moral a crossroads... this is where he decides to stick it out in the final days of the reich, or break free and end this nazi charade. The bum rolls the dice in desperation and attempts to present his plea to he kraut in the form a piano solo. Failing a skill check, this only succeeds in invigorating Jerry and his nazi ways. He solemnly realises has no reason not to kill him.

I haven't seen the film so...I'm guessing the joke is that in it the pianist is so good and moves the jerry to let him off? Ie the polar opposite of Derf's bizarro version? :P

yes, that would be correct. You should probably watch the movie, it's not bad, though it's pretty freakin' violent.
