heh...bitches. I was playing MW2 and was like...wtf.... then I realized what it was, tabbed out, killed steam, tabbed back into my game and kept playing. I've since learned how to probably kill the sound entirely for that annoying calling noise. I'll be testing that out soon.

I found a topic on the estonian version of price watch, titled "Funniest sentences on HV".
Quote:
Max Powers kirjutas:
hmm, kuidas muidu diktofoni nimetatakse?
velsa kirjutas:
Hääleimur näiteks

In translation it would go something like:
Quote:
Max Powers wrote:
hmm, how would you call a dicta-phone?

velsa Wrote:
A voice sucker, for an example

Post Re: Funny Stuff II
This is pretty funny:

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/02/0 ... 45951.html

Quote:
* 36 percent of Republicans believe Obama was not born in the United States, 22 percent are not sure, 42 percent think he is a natural citizen. [lol what? Even I know you can only become president if you were born in the US]

* 31 percent of Republicans believe Obama is a "Racist who hates White people" -- the description once adopted by Fox News's Glenn Beck. 33 percent were not sure, and 36 percent said he was not a racist.

* 63 percent of Republicans think Obama is a socialist, 16 percent are not sure, 21 percent say he is not [Hahaha!]

* 24 percent of Republicans believe Obama wants "the terrorists to win," 33 percent aren't sure, 43 percent said he did not want the terrorist to win.

* 21 percent of Republicans believe ACORN stole the 2008 election, 55 percent are not sure, 24 percent said the community organizing group did not steal the election.

* 23 percent of Republicans believe that their state should secede from the United States, 19 percent aren't sure, 58 percent said no.

* 53 percent of Republicans said they believe Sarah Palin is more qualified to be president than Obama. [HAHAHAHAHHAAHHAHAA]

Seriously...and people wonder why I have a disdain for the 'average Joe'. What a bunch of nonsense

I controlled Mole once. It wasn't as much fun as I thought it would be. :(

@ Ox.... some of those quotes can be read in various ways... the natural born citizen thing is retarded, definitely. And you don't technically have to be born in the US, you just have to be born as a natural US citizen... so to 2 US citizens overseas would be acceptable.

Is Obama racist? Maybe.... he's done some questionable shit. Is he a socialist? Err, yea. *shrug*

No one in American mainstraim politics is anywhere close to a 'socialist' man. Why would he be racist btw?

Btw most of the questions in the poll were pretty straightforward.

QUESTION: Do you believe Barack Obama is a racist who hates White people?

Post Re: Funny Stuff II
Central, government-mandated health care is pretty socialist, man. He's not a hard-core socialist or anything, but the health care agenda I think pushes him into the camp, especially from a US perspective.

Regarding his potential racism, he's done several speeches in front of black crowds talking about the whole black thing. To me, well, for one he's talking out of his ass, since he was raised wealthy and I'm sure that black culture had a minimal influence. Secondly, a president isn't black or white... he's a president and represents the whole country. Pulling the "I'm black" card is way below what he should be running at. there's also the incident with the white cop and him harassing the black guy that was trying to break into his whole house. That turned into a media frenzy, so who knows what really happened, but Obama jumping in half-cocked on the side of his black friend was idiotic.

So, anyway, he may not be in the least bit racist, but with some of his words and actions, there's a definite possibility that he really is. *shrug*

Post Re: Funny Stuff II
99% of all civilized countries have centralized government-run health care already, so I don't really see it as socialist as much as humane. Given the pretty harsh levels of poverty in a country as rich as the US I'd say it's a good thing. And it's relatively restricted in what it covers, miles away from most other systems still. But we can disagree on the necessity of it I suppose. :P Whichever way you look at it though, doing something that might be considered socialist doesn't mean he IS a socialist. The New Deal was about as commie as it got, but that doesn't mean Roosevelt was a pinko.

I see what you mean re: racism. I'll agree that his somewhat profiling as 'the black candidate' isn't exactly what I like to see in candidates, but it's not like he was campaigning against some racial groups. I think the saying that he's a racist 'who hates white people' (wtf) based on all that by the people polled suggests a seriously skewed worldview.

If you look at the answers in general you see a very mistrusting, paranoid and uninformed opinion with a definite slant towards the religious right (rabidly anti-gay, anti-abortion etc.). Which is somewhat frightening. :( The Republican Party seems to have lost its connection with its roots and is being taken over by religious maniacs who see terrorists and communists on every corner.
