Absolutely. If the infomation present is true, I seriously highly doubt Bush knew or had anything to do with it. More than likely Cheney, Rumsfield, etc, knew but still there hands where not directly involved. I mean the US governement recruited Nazi German scientist to help them develop missles and airplanes.
There are "obvious" things the goverment fucks up. But its mostly the seceret things we dont know about that they get right.
For instance.
the A bomb
Stealth bombers
spy planes
basiclly military technology & secrecy are 2 things they get right.
If any goverment where able to pull off something like 9/11 it would be the US goverment. ITs not that hard to lie to the american people and have them believe you, as long as you got the propaganda machine working in your favor. You can make anyone believe that the guy whos supposed to be bin laden, and doesnt look like bin laden, really is bin laden. Because people believe "Well if the government says so, it must be true."

I disagree, but we'll probably just have to agree to disagree.
To pick your examples:
a-bomb...yea, that was pretty secret.
stealth bombers .. the stealth fighter crashed into some hills in the 70s and was found by the public. There were pictures and other information available of them for many years before they were officially disclosed
spy planes .. same sorta thing. the SR71 was known about for years before officially avowed. Some planes got shot down (U2).
Perhaps a small conspiracy with a core group of people (and noone else) could be squelched. But loading missiles onto civilian planes and shit like that would be difficult to do with a small group of people.

Not necessarily. Heres a simple way of doing it:
1. Someone high up in the CIA with authority assigns a planted US special forces General to run an low profile, high security, top secret operation with a very small team of well paid special operations military personnel.
2. The location is remote and unknown and the small 10 man team construct the necessary equipment/missiles and attach them to an aeroplane.
3. A USAF black ops branch assigns a project to Boeing, whereby it must manufacture in secret a "custom military aircraft" that must be kept hidden from the rest of the world. (In order to keep America safe, is their excuse).
Bingo, done. A long term, low profile project with minimum personnel involved. Easy to bribe, easy to cherry-pick the best that will keep their mouth shut.

1. Anyone high up in the CIA is a politician
2. SF doesn't have generals
3. SF personnel aren't well paid
:p Who knows the truth, I don't see any point in arguing too strongly. Yes it's possible, but I don't think so.

It doesnt have to be CIA. It's entirely possible that there is someone right at the top with a shitload of authority but works almost total secrecy.
It doesnt have to be special forces either. They can be whatever, Delta or something more secret.

Wouldn't the NSA be involved with conspiracies rather than the CIA?
I wish I had friends at the ATF evidence storage.
