 I got coffee mugs from my dad and stepmom, but i don't drink coffee. It was a nice warm christmas for me. My husband had on shorts. I was in the low 70's. Next year i want to visit with family in Indiana so my husband can see what a real christmas is like. I have a huge family and we all get together at my grandparents house for breakfast. I miss that =( so although i did get some great gifts. Its just not the same.

So StephieMarie you had a nice warm christmas whilst I'M STUCK IN F***KING ENGLAND FREEZING MY ASS OFF AND HOPING IT WILL SNOW! Because it won't because its England. Sorry for the outburst.

I want snow. I want cold. It's easier to warm up than it is to cool down.

I'll agree with you there. Though when it comes down to it, I think I'd rather be boiling hot than ultra-cold...ie, that cold where, no matter what you do, you can't warm up. That's even worse, imo, than stewing in your own sweat.

Heh, two days ago we were surprised by a snow 'storm' and a lot of snow fell in a short time...at the evening too, so there wasn't time for the salt-machines to clear up the roads.

Anyway, we call my grandparents' house and they don't answer...so we figure they are out (duh), which is kinda insane for a couple of a 94-yr old and 85-yr old in those conditions. On top of that, during nightfall the snow started getting icey and twice as dangerous for old ppl.

After some calling around we find out that they're in a restaurant across town, and we ride out with the car over a lot of crappily dangerous roads (this is not the big city, remember) to the restaurant. We get there and operation "help really old grandparents into car while passing over a frozen sidewalk" starts...which took about 20 minutes. Then we brought them home, same routine but smoother, my mum really angry with my grandparents cos they went out in this weather (and rightfully so), lots of drama, back home.

But wtf man...even I wasn't going out in those conditions...and my 94-yr old granddad thinks he wants to visit a restaurant!? Yikes.

Erh sorry, had to get that off my chest. :P
