Peak oil is the moment worldwide oil production meets its peak. Since economies keep growing beyond that point, and don't become more energy-efficient, oil prices will increase drasticly beyond that point.
At the moment it's mainly the bad weather in the gulf of Mexico and the insurgency in Iraq that keeps prices high.
But it's not like we haven't had crisis like the current before, in the oil crisis of the seventies a barrel of oil costed 90$ if corrected for inflation too.

Just realized 11b will be pointing out that there's reason behind the whole etemanaki (something) stuff, so thought i'd give an example of "The power of numbers" of my own:
My mother is born on 12 februari (i'll write 12-02 from now on, hope this doesn't confuse americans too much)
So when she formed a couple (2 persons) with my dad, it's no coincidence that his birthday is 24-04: (12-02 * 2)
Now when my mother gave birth to her first child (me) there had to be a connection as well, and look: if you fill in the 1 from first child in 12-02 -> 12-12 (my birthday)
Then there's my sister, the second child, how does she fit in:
24-04 (dad) + 2 -> 24-06 (her birthday), so again it works
I still have a brother to go now, his birthday is 03-12, seems like he's harder to fit in. However he's not really the third in line since i had a brother that only lived for 3 days (three, no coincedence probably).
So if you divide my 12 with 4 you get 3.
See, you can make these kind of connections work if you have a little imagination. I just made this in like 5 minutes, would probably be able to make it more convincing if i took longer.
Btw these dates are all accurate, didn't make them up to be able to make a connection.

So, that makes you the ???? uber-dork?
Seriously, you wasted 5 minutes of your life thinking that nonsense up.
I mean, I was born on Halloween, that makes me a GHOUULLLLLL!!!!!!!!!
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
When ever your birthday + 2 *12/3 = A MAJOR NATURAL DISASTER, killing thousands of people. Then I might believe you got something.

I understand he knows his arithmetic. He can add and subtract all day.
Until he can predict the date (+/- 1 day) that the largest natural disaster in US history is going to happen before the fact, hes got no point.

To predict such a disaster you can also watch weather forecasts btw.
Sure they don't try to connect totally random events and form a story with it. And i'm not really impressed when i see someone make up a curve to 'prove' that some events are linked.
But if you can show me his september forecasts now (and not in some vague description) and then his predictions turn out to be accurate i'll be more impressed.
You ever heard of James Randi's paranormal challenge? "At JREF, we offer a one-million-dollar prize to anyone who can show, under proper observing conditions, evidence of any paranormal, supernatural, or occult power or event."
Why do you think that they never had to pay that 1 million dollar so far? Because simply these guys that can move objects, predict the future, find water in the ground with a stick, ... are all frauds.

You shouldn't try to reverse the roles here. I'm asking you to show me his prediction for september or whatever now.
I'm not pretending to have supernatural powers. Nobody has ever been able to prove such things - again i refer to you the James Randi test: zero people managed to prove their self-proclaimed supernatural abilities or how you want to call it.
Btw with a complete "History of the 20th century" kinda encyclopedia you'd already get very far 'linking' things. I mean pick an event, pick some random number that you give some meaning through some vague explanation and see what happened in the world x days/months/years before or later.
I mean just look at it: some speech of Arnie - wow worldshocking
Oh and did you miss Ox his post about how the guy uses all kind of different timezones to 'prove' how things are linked? Or do you just chose to ignore that one? And this part of my reply as well probably.

Whereas, of course, thÃs post is a pinnacle of well founded logic and iron reason so unshakeable that if you tried to kick it in the nuts, you'd hurt your foot.
Maybe we just need to kick you in the nuts.

You want to lick my nuts? Whaaa??? You're sick!
I'm flattered that the only time you post is to insult me. I must really get under your skin, .
I like how you put a bunch of vocabulary into your hate post, you know, to make it sound like you're smart.
Keep up the spam, I mean "intelligent sounding flames".
