I'm against civilians carrying guns, precisely because people are morons. When you're mad, it's too easy to pull it and kill someone, or go to your house to get the gun and kill someone. If you still have to buy the gun illegally first, you've had a lot of time to cool down. I'm sure the right to bear arms made sense in the days when you guys expected the British to come back to re-colonize your country, but I think that fear is past by now.

I will back off but I did want to make another point real quick. I think for those living in the US, it is a little different. It would be one thing if noone had guns, but a lot of people do. And, a large portion of those people who DO have guns are the bad people. Drug deals, gang bangers, etc. So, I would rather have the same or better technology including guns, than be at the whim of those bad people. Oh, and may come as a shock, but I don't trust that "government" will protect me. I believe my family would, and other might if easy, but I don't believe a cop will be around the corner to help, or the military for that matter. If they are then great, but I don't just like to assume they will be.

As for the tiny violin, well /sigh. I guess I should have considered that, but I was more hopeful I guess. That gets into the whole is it real discussion. While it is definately an art, I would rather have played with the real thing. That to me is why a toy is better than a picture of that toy. But, then again I totally appreciate art. Just depresses me on some level. Maybe it is a chick thing, but it is one reason why I actually respect doll house furniture. Not the crappy plastic Barbie stuff but the real hand made wood pieces. To show that much attention to detail on a small level. (Again not arguing that their is detail in photoshop, just to ME it is not the same.)

Heh - if you all only knew how many costumes I have in my closets. I have anything from fairy to twilek to bar maid. But then again I throw a lot of theme parties and they are needed for atmosphere. Plus, Satis and I have pretty much an annual Halloween Party. It's expected by our friends at this point.

But that doesn't sound as bad being a chick I think?

I've got quite a few costumes too. Especially if you include the military gear. Oh well. You never know when you need to dress as a highlander. Or Kyle Katarn.
