From my youth: K's Choice, a Belgian band led by the Bettens siblings (Sarah is the singer, Gert the lead guitar) that split a few years ago.

The music isn't earth-shattering, but it's Sarah's voice that 'does the job'.

Their biggest hit, "Not an addict"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cklb7L0OA1c

later song, ballad-y

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KyUPFMHC ... re=related

and one of their early songs, silly lyrics and all, but again wonderful voice

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pmSxISEW ... re=related

Just some youth memories. :) I stopped buying their cd's when I got older because I wasn't into the music as much as before anymore, but since they are from around where I live I saw them a lot when they were younger etc.

I believe she lived and performed in america the last couple of years. She lives together with her (lesbian obv) american girlfriend.

Maybe Satis saw her perform somewhere.

I doubt it's his kind of music, but yeah, she lives in the South so odds aren't insurmountable that he met or saw her once. :)

I do know who they are, and have listened to them, but never seen them live. They were more popular in like the what mid 90's I think?

Yup! They split somewhere in the early 2000's I think, the singer started a fairly decent solo career and her brother started a band that failed. They never reached their old level though.

Yeah, but I think it might be just for the festival season. Not sure though...

That was pretty cool actually. :) I'd post something cool but I can't be bothered to think of something in this non-airconditioned country at 32 degrees. :? :(

I'm afraid this is gonna be quite the change in style compared to Satis' last two posts :D Which I liked, btw. Slayer is awesome. 8-)

Anyway, as far as pop singers go, Pink is pretty cool. The song is ok if you're in the mood for it, but the thing I really like about it all is the video. Maybe it's just because I'm a psycho. It has a calm craziness that goes well with the saddish vibe of the song.

And yeah, you can take your 'nigga you gay' pot shots at me :P But Pink is ok.

No, Pink sucks. I have no problems with pop music, I simply don't listen to it. But Pink annoys me.
