Damnhell the Wikipedia and people who made some of its extensions. Here I present you the source of a template that, though written properly, doesn't work. It is too large.

Yet it is an excellent illustration of what all people who write templates for Wikipedia are dealing with.

Breath freely, while writing templates for wikipedia

And finally, a round of applause for the Brazilian who "tried to disassemble a Rocket Propelled Grenade (RPG) by driving back and forth over it with a car". The citation continues: "This technique was ineffective, so he escalated to pounding the RPG with a sledgehammer.

I've been in and out of B'ham station hundreds of times and NEVER noticed those cameras in the photo... man, I need to start not looking at the floor when I walk!

But to be honest, I'm happy with more security cameras.

I never do anything 'wrong' anyway, (with regards to littering, stealing, vandalism) so I'm ok :D

Quote:
Serious concerns have been raised that the facial biometric information which will be stored on a central database through the ID Card scheme could be linked to facial recognition systems and state-owned CCTV cameras to identify individuals anywhere in the UK, or even to compile a database of wanted citizens' movements without their knowledge or consent.

So fucking what? They shouldn't be fucking wanted by the law if they're that fucking bothered! Fuck!

that, unfortunately, is a logical fallacy. "Who cares if they X, it doesn't matter as long as you're not doing anything wrong." It's an invasion of privacy at a minimum... no one has the right to look at me unless I give them that permission. At least, that's the most basic level.

In another vein (and stolen from elsewhere) : "Are you 100% sure that it is impossible that some day a fascist regime may control your country and have access to the data?" What you're doing today may be illegal tomorrow. You may be singled out for looking at the ground... looking at the ground in a public area is considered antisocial behaviour and will be dealt with appropriately by the thought police.

Anyway, I understand the idea but it's anathema to me. There are times when acting wrong is the right thing to do.

Can't be bothered with a whole discussion (Because A. This is the funny stuff thread and B we've already spoke about this before)

But I really hope you mean in a surveillance method and not in general there ;) Besides, anyone who think we have any privacy needs to get a reality check. Sure, they might not be able to see what we do in our bedrooms before bed, but pretty much everything known about us, is known about by 'them'.

Yes, there are times when doing the wrong thing is right (for instance, murdering someone who has invaded your home) but over here, that shit is manslaughter anyway. At least if I had video evidence that the guy had broken in, I'd have something on my side. And anyway, If the dude is just walking down the street, happens to get caught by face-recognition and is a wanted criminal, then his privacy is less important that protecting the people he might hurt.

I think it's fucked up that if you kill someone who breaks in to your house you get done for manslaughter. What a crock of shit. If he's in my house, I will assume he has every intention of terminating my life. Therefor a 'just' force would be to take his life. I'm not exactly gonna ask the fucker "Excuse me, Mr. Burglar, but are you here to kill me or not? I need to know so that when the police come I can tell them that I used a fair and equal force to defend myself."

huh. In Texas if some guy is in your house you can kill him with little fear of retribution. I'm sure there'd be an inquiry, but if he's in your house no court's going to find you guilty of anything. Unless he happened to be a police officer serving a warrant or something.

Anyway, yea, wrong thread and we've already talk about it. So...
