I've read something this week about giving your kid is (light) slap is not okay. Although the big majority of (white) people thought it was okay as part of raising your kid. I don't know all the details but i guess psychology and such have proven it is NOT a good way to 'punish' your kid.

Stupid twats have decided that mildly slapping a kid is not okay. Off course molesting a child is very bad for it's development, but too soft parents make bad parents as well. "Zachte heelmeesters..."

agreed, punishment is important. Positive reinforcement is great and all but without punishment it becomes virtually meaningless.

When I grew up I was subject to spanking and crap like that. Most of the people around here (Texas) actually were whipped... with like belts and switches and shit. I find that a bit excessive, but it certainly hasn't destroyed them as individuals.
