Its nice to see rinox is back, eventhough for only a short time, atleast the forums look more alive now :D

And it is funny to see over 10 new posts a day.

Nothing surprises me on Balkans anymore. Yet I think it too retarded to be true.

Let's make fun of all the people who've recently bought a Creative sound card and Windows Vista. Off course you're a twit when you buy any of those two, but thanks to Vista's new handling of sound, Creative's sound cards didn't work any more with it. Fortunately though, you can buy, yes BUY! new drivers. Which means: paying for it. Paying to get the hardware you already paid for working with the operating system you already paid for. Nice!

ROFLMAO! If that's true, there is no way I am taking that crap (I wouldn't take it anyway :P ). I'd sooner switch to Ubuntu or any other Linux distribution.

I KNEW it!! Arx crossed my mind when i saw that sign.

Arx Fatalis is one of the best games I've played in the last 10 years in terms of atmosphere. The casting system is also very cool (but sometimes a little hard to handle properly). But it's logical and very intuitive.

To give a simple example for those who don't know the game: you have seperate spells that will, for example, create an effect, light a fire, nullify an effect, amplify an effect, speed up, and so forth.

By combining these effects you can 'create' spells in a pretty straightforward manner. So if you want to start a fire (say to cook your self-caught rat steak...cos the game had that too), you just walk to an extinguished campfire and draw the runes 'aam' (create) and 'yok' (fire) in the air and voila: fire! Want to put out torches/fire? Just go 'nhi' (negate/nullify) + 'yok' and it will peter out.

Sounds cool? it is. :) Not to mention all those cooking recipes and memorable places you visit. Arx Fatalis is the shit. Respect Gfree! ;)
