More in J's defence: in Dutch, the plural form for some words of foreign origin in Dutch ending in a vowel IS with apostrophe s.

The plural of baby is baby's in Dutch (not babies), for example

paraplu - paraplu's

Coincidentally, I think the actual correct plural of ninja is...ninja. But ninjas is probably acceptable too. And in Dutch ninja's is an acceptable plural. So J can be totally forgiven.
