This is a comment from gamespot user on the topic of decline in Killzone2 sales.
Where do these people come from? Is there a factory that spawn idiots?

Seriously. I played Killzone 2 online using a mates box. It was fun, don't get me wrong - but it's just another game where twenty seven clips is required to take down one target. Rainbow Six, Ghost Recon, Call of Duty are my kind of online shooters.

I like both types, but there's such a huge number of the 'unrealistic' shooters that I really appreciate when a realistic one comes along. Plus I feel a lot more accomplishment surviving and beating realistic shooters. Rainbow Six Vegas 2 was awesome...I replayed that game numerous times on various difficulties and beat all the single player maps (like the terrorist hunt game type). Awesome game. I think the only reason I quit playing is because I ran out of content. I would've killed for an expansion.

I'm working on RBS1, I've done the story on the hardest mode, just gotta get the hunts and MP achievements done now. (pls don't spoil anything )
But yeah, I agree on the 'more content' - but I think that's what I like about it, rather than having an expansion, those kind of games (G.R.A.W, RBS) continue the story with a new game, so it feels more worth waiting for.

I never played Vegas 1. I'm too much of a graphics whore. I did play GRAW and GRAW 2, but they weren't as good as R6V2 imo.

And here we have this weeks winner:

Seriously, I know EA def deserves its rep for creating crappy, cheap, profit-minded games. The GF2 game in particular was just....well, awful, just extremely, utterly, awful. But at least they are willing to create some new IP's every now and then, i.e. Dead Space, Army of Two. And, they help publish games from small devs that prob couldn't do it without the muscle of EA, I.E. Valve releasing the Orange Box w/ EA's help. It's not like THQ and ACTIVISION or EIDOS constantly keep churning out amazing games. In fact, if it's wasn't for Tomb Raider's consistent average adventures, no one would even know EIDOS. | | | | |

Okay need to rant a bit. Here i go ..
Just had an email of the headmistress of our school. Turns out one of my students mailed her that he didn't agree with how the exam went. I did an oral exam, 4 questions they had to prepare on paper and then show/defend.
Needless to say that he failed his exam miserably. Otherwise there would be no problem of course.
Now what pisses me off is that he's probably the laziest kid in the class, doesn't open his books during the year (where you can score the easy points) doesn't even write things down and does an absolute minimum during exam period. So now he ran with his face against the wall, he goes into crybaby-mode immediately.
Fuck that, if you fail in our highschool (12-18 years) it mostly means you
a) are a lazy fuck
b) are a stupid fuck that hasn't got the brains for this particular study
So now i'll probably have a lot of extra work (meeting with the headmistress and no doubt put several things/statements on paper) because HE's too lazy.
BAHBAHBAH
IDIOTIC STUDENT
i'm so pissed now that i would rather have him fail his year now than let him pass
BAH

unless he goes mouthing off in front of his students what his online handle is, I think he's probably mostly safe. Hell, they probably think all he does is play shuffleboard and dream up ways to torture them.
Anyway, that's precisely why I could never be a teacher. In my job I teach some, and these people piss me off regularly because of how lazy and stupid they are. And they're getting paid and are adults. I couldn't imagine a kid that was forced to be there. i'd strangle them.
I'm known to occasionally grow a temper and even chew people out for being idiots. But I have no patience for that crap, it's not what I get paid for.
So, anyway, good luck with that, I know how it sucks.

I've been told a few times at work and such that im a good teacher. The trick I employ is to assume youre teaching an idiot with ADD.

Haha, I feel your pain J. You're absolutely right too, if you can't pass a high school exam (no matter which course you're taking) you're either exponentially lazy or just plain dumb. I never studied more than 1 hour for an exam in high school and only for major subjects (Maths, Latin) and I passed everything just fine. Of course, that came to bite me in the ass in college when I figured I could get away with the same work ethic.
I hope he doesn't end up doing "vakantietaken" or a new exam, and that you can enjoy your 1.5 months of holiday without too much bother.
@ Derf: man, that only works if they actually are retarded. I get really, REALLY pissed off when someone at work or anywhere else really treats me like a newborn baby when teaching something. Not so much at them, but more at the other people they're teaching to and have to adjust to while I'm already running with the new info after 15 minutes. I'm sure you all know the feeling. Part of the reason i didn't attend class much in college...everything just went so slow. It was like living in slow motion.
