lol. I still get intoxicated. My reduced body weight and food intake has made sure of that. Corona Light is 4.5% alcohol. Kostritzer (my fav dark beer) is 4.8%, so not too far different. And btw, in Texas when the average temp is over 100 F (38 C) dark beer doesn't go down so well. Light beers are a lot more refreshing.
As for my size, I'm about 5'10" (1.78m) and 166lbs (75kg) currently. The weight will be going down, though hopefully the height will stay the same.

Conceptually, I don't agree with light beers. Here, cider is my refreshing drink.

Heh... weight. On bad Bulgarian food I hit 89kg (196lbs) this summer. But it is amazing how fast it goes down since I came home, three weeks ago. I am already at 86kg (189lbs) and I was eating even more than in Bulgaria. So much about the food quality in EU. Thanks to my metabolism that's able to cleanse the body of the shit.
And yes, the global warming is reality. Belgrade will hit 41°C (105°F) these days. And it will feel much worse than the same temperature in Sofia or Split, since Belgrade has no mountains and no sea.
Anyone here drinking Kvass? It contains very little alcohol and is even healthy. That drink won me as I tried it the first time.

I've never seen that. Looks pretty bizarre. I can't imagine fermenting a beer in a jar like in the wiki article.

hmmm...ok...fermented alcoholic bread beverage. I guess it is its own type of beverage. Fermenting it in a jar still makes me uneasy. I'd certainly be willing to try it, though, given the opportunity.

Never tried Kvass when I was down Eastern/Central Europe...I do, however, remember the "special brand" of Coca Cola wannabe being sold in the Czech Republic. It's named Kofola and it tastes absolutely HORRID.
I tried it on two occasions, then I went crawling back to coke. It was like drinking watered down cold coffee, and I don't even drink warm coffee.

Must be terrible if you didn't like it... then again your coke tastes like water so it was probably the fact it had some flavour that scared you

When you go through Slovenia, Croatia or Serbia, you might like to try Cockta. It is nothing like Coca-Cola (waterlike or not), although it looks very same, and it has a specific taste (everything but waterlike) you might like.
My personal preference is Mirinda.

*slaps Pev* Our coke has superior taste!! I bet not like the one they sell in the US though, which probably is a tick syrupy sweet thingie.
I saw "Supersize Me" yesterday because I was bored. I love some fastfood from time to time just as much as the next man, but some of the stuff in there is...disgusting.
Then again, I find the premise of the movie kinda lame. I mean, it's not like we didn't KNOW that eating at McDonalds all the time isn't exactly going to benefit your life expectation. But I was surprised at how big and how immediate the impact of the junk he was eating was.
Oh, and I think I tasted Mirinda before...it's available around the mediterranean iirc. But Cockta, that sounds like a challenge

I linked it, but lets quote Wikipedia for the records:
"Its main ingredient comes from the dog rose berry. The other ingredients come from 11 different herbs, lemon and orange. It contains neither caffeine nor orthophosphoric acid."

Any drink with the word Cock in its name is something to approach with extreme caution.

We all know you'd be lapping up Cockta if you had the chance man. Don't fight it!

I thought somebody will say that. Come on man, don't be mean. The name was given by non-native English speakers and in the time when Internet didn't even exist. Thus the word "cock" from today's e-porn wasn't that known. "Dick" was. I am sure they would keep old name "Cocta" if they thought of this.

Hey, to each their own, it's just a language hangup. I had issues eating Yaki Mandu because Yaki and Yucky are damned similar. Eventually I tried it and it rocks. So I'd certainly give it a try, I would just be... careful.
And nowhere near Ox. Or drunk.
