I'd probably be too embarrassed to wear clothing with a gaming logo or something. I wouldn't mind a mug.

it depends how tasteful and obviously gaming it is. I wouldn't wear any of those shirts Ox has.
I do have a tabula rasa shirt similar to this:

I wear that one, but it's not lame.

(from Family Guy)
Couldn't find a clip for the scene. But that comment of yours reminded me of it.

hehe...I actually see people wearing L4d t-shirts from time to time. Amazingly enough, there's an L4D2 billboard in downtown Dallas. Valve's really marketing the shit out of this game, what with all the TV ads as well.

Seriously? I don't see any L4D2 marketing here, not on TV, mainstream magazines or billboards. Of course I did see ads in my gaming magazine but that doesn't count.
L4D2 shirts, also unheard of. You'd be lucky to see an 'iconic' shirt genre Mario Bros once every year. Other than that...nah. So over here it would actually be pretty unique to do so.
Gaming is much more still a 'stigma' in Europe than in the US I think for adults. I know a lot of grown men who own consoles for football and racing games or a Wii for their girlfriend, but that's it really. PC gaming is not something you'd readily admit to a woman (as Derf pointed out).
P.S. the only gaming TV ad I have EVER seen in Belgium was for Fallout 3. I remember it because I was shocked.

Yeah, FO3 was heavily advertised here too.
I've only seen L4D TV ads as far as I remember. But that's a pretty big thing on its own.

That stuff is becoming more and more mainstream in the US. I'm sure it'll follow in Europe... the US is still a trend setter in some things. There were a lot of Modern Warfare ads as well.

Oh I'm sure the US is lightyears ahead in terms of games being promoted in mainstream media. Midnight launches were an American thing up until relatively recently too (some stores in major cities in Belgium do it now, but only since a year or 3).
But seeing as Europe is a larger market, especially when it comes to PC gaming, I sure hope that changes soon. Release date differences have vanished or are now only a few days, so it's levelling out. But slowly.

We have craploads of ads here, Game and Gamestation both spamming ads all over the place, along with certain games (MW2, L4D2, pretty much any nintendo games)
Anyhoo I kinda wanted that companion cube they do when I was first told about it, but then I found out it was fluffy. Companion cubes aren't meant to be fluffy!
Oh and I wear gaming shirts all the time, we get free ones from work. Only certain ones I wear, such as Assassins Creed. But the ones I have from my mate who works for Nintendo are constantly worn; I have wii fit t-shirt that I love, a mario kart t-shirt that I used to wear all the time, I constantly wear my Wii hoodie and also take a Mario Kart backpack to work every day!
I want lots of geeky type ones though, I'm just too poor to buy them

Estonia is way too small market for such things and im sure lots of people order games from the UK like me because even with postal costs it is cheaper.
On the other hand, when sugar is sold for 5Eek per kilogramm and elderly people beat each other silly sure makes up for it when i am safely watching it from the tv, thats the comicon estonian way!
1€=15,6Eek, Eek=Eesti Kroon, lovly abbreviation.

sounds like you have some nice swag, Pev. Wish I had some of that crap... certainly the wii fit shirt and hoodie. And I like the companion cube... a plush is fine by me. I have a thing for plushies, what can I say.
