Well, the idyllic days of nomadic life were far from idyllic. People were mostly starving, died from disease regularly, were lucky to live to 30 and had pretty miserable lives over all. I'm definitely good for technology. Still, to each their own.

And I'll agree that war is bad overall, but it does contribute greatly to human progress. WWII produced such wonders as antibiotics, radar and M&Ms. :P Ah well.

So, I say let the guy loose to go to his home, then when he and all his friends are gathered together, bomb em.

Too true on the human nature thing. I love the book 'Ragged-Trousered Philanthropists' as it completely echoes what I think about the world; a socialist society where everyone is equal and helps everyone else would be perfect, but someone somewhere will ALWAYS exploit it because it is human nature and before you know it, we're back to capitalism.

Get a room you two :P ;)

And I've had too much beer the past 3-4 days to even consider a round. Well maybe in a few hours.

I plan on drinking some tonight, but social engagements mean I can't get sloppy by noon. :P I'll agree on the pub date... there was a time in my life when I'd get intoxicated and discuss semi-philosophical topics for hours.

If you never seen someone die from cancer it probably the most painful death. I had 2 relatives die from it. My uncle was given morphine to easy the pain but he was still in a tremendous amount of pain during his last probably 6 months.

IMO he should have stayed in jail, left to die of his cancer WITHOUT drugs then they could have air dropped his body back home.

kid kicking your ass?

You could always stuff his corpse with bacon and ship it home. At that point things would be getting a bit excessive though.

Well, considering that this wasn't even a relgiously inspired attack that would be pretty callous indeed.

Tbh who cares what inspired it? Being inspired by it at all is a downright evil thing to do, regardless of whether it was race, religion or a difference in music tastes.

Oh of course, but the whole bacon-stuffed corpse thing is pretty much unequivocally saying "I hate on your religion" to a bunch of people who may have nothing to do with the person's crimes. :)

heh. I desecrate your corpse! And of course that was in jest. Nothing like stuffing a muslim's corpse with bacon for inspiring future generations to jihad.

So anyway... I guess I could get more info on this guy by googling him, so I'll abstain from asking questions I could easily answer myself.
