Farting, or "passing gas" if you want to be polite.
And yeah, I know they don't check every single person every time. I used to cross the border with Holland and France quiten often when the borders weren't open yet. But it's still a drag.

It's the same everywhere. Passing border checkpoints from Mexico to the US, if you're white they don't really check you... at least they didn't... now that they require passports I guess they might. There are also checkpoints further into the US.. they only check people that look hispanic.
Similarly, airplane checks pretty much wave white people through. It's the middle easterners that get the most grief. Oh well, it is what it is.
@Ox, the French owned that whole section of the US until the Lousiana Purchase ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Louisiana_Purchase). Thus the heavy French influence. New Orleans was a very large port even then. French hasn't really entered English there, but there's this hybrid Creole language that's a combination of French, English and other stuff. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Louisiana_Creole_French

Actually you would have to come by boat, because i dont think you can go through poland without stopping. Not sure though, they are in EU but i dont know if they are part of the Shengen space.

I checked, and it is. That's a neat thought. When going to the Czech Republic by car, it was always fun to pass the German-Czech border and see the HUGE abandoned border posts from the past.
The EU might not be the best thing evah on a supranational level but it's not like that directly affects our lives too much just yet. As it is I am a supporter of the EU if only for the open borders. Probably because I ALWAYS get taken aside for an extra checkup on border controls (blame my criminal Eastern-European face).
A few friends of mine wanted to go to Riga for a couple of days, do some male bonding and shit. I wasn't displeased with the idea until I found out that meant having sex with cheap (but hot) Russian and Ukranian hookers there while their gf's/wives stayed at home. I mean, they can do whatever the fuck they like, but I'm not gonna be their cheating excuse and I don't really feel like riding a hooker. So that idea is dead for now.

OK I know I am so supposed to be posting pictures and I even unloaded them from my phone but at the moment I am lazy and I seriously have to get busy since Satis and I are having a party tonight. Got to pick up the keg, some food, set it up and cook. Find a costume still (yea I know I suck).
So.... I will at some point sorry. But I will say that I had a good time on the trip but OMG I was tired. And New Orleans should seriously have more parking when they are hosting huge events.

OK Since Satis did not show any pictures of the Aquarium I will share a few of those. I have a ton of pictures of the Mississippi River and the cemetary but not many pictures beyond that.

Hot damn! Are those a lot of really small bowls or are you guys just really big eaters?
Meh...now I want to go out to a (good) restaurant. I can't cook for shit so I make a lot of stops at bagel and kebab places, but those aren't exactly what I'd call spectacular. I kinda owe a friend of mine dinner so I guess I'll drag her ass to a nice restaurant. Torn between a fish place and fusion kitchen...

The above bowl array was a 'sampler' of 'appetizers'. Each bowl was big enough to be a small meal of its own, though. We barely touched the stuff (though I devoured the mud bugs). It wasn't the best food, mind you. It was passable.
