Italy 0 0 Spain at half time so far.
Good game, it looks like penalties from this point, which is not what I want. I shat myself at a few chances spain had. Pisses me off that the english commentators here are saying it's "boring". They don't know shit.
I hope Toni comes to life in the second and bangs something in.

And thus, the great Derf prophecy comes to its end. 
But seriously, nervewrecking game...Spain was better throughout, but Italy was defending like you would expect from them; it was a ten-foot concrete wall back there.
But the penalties...Italy sucks so hard at them. The problem was that they 'had' to try to reach the penalty shootout because they weren't strong enough to beat Spain in regular time. Ah well. Feel for you Derf, but on the bright side: at least it wasn't Portugal they lost to!

I know its Italy's thing to be defensive but it only gets you so far 
Attack ffs!
But yeah, yay spain!
Who do you all want to win out of the last teams? Or is it a big dose of meh?

Goddamit. I think i'll go back to my old method of choosing football outcomes ... throwing darts at a sheet.
I have to hand it to Spain. They looked like the straightforward better team to be honest. More posesion and much more chances.
Italy were defending ok, but I agree there were definite problems attacking. Perhaps mostly due to a lack of real on-form attacking midfielders. Toni was isolated, but he should have perhaps done more than just win freekicks. No real complaints from my side. We weren't cheated out.
The general consensus among the english here at work is that it was a boring game. But weve already established they know shit all about football.

Looking back, Italy was actually the only team remotely able to 'stop' Spain in the entire tournament.
4-1 against Russia
2-1 against Sweden
2-1 against Greece
0-0 and penalties against Italy
3-0 Russia
1-0 Germany
