hah.

Hey Ox, on the money thing, it's really not a big deal. Both Shiny and I work, plus we both have side businesses we're starting. Who knows, we might be millionaires by the end of the year.

If clankiller.com ends up on a dedicated server, that should be a good indication of my financial success.

As far as driver's license, I don't know how those work in the US. I'm not sure if we accept foreign drivers' licenses, or if we do if we accept Belgian licenses. Or is it all handled at an EU level now? At least you're not British and drive on the wrong side of the road.

But anyway, my point being that you totally need to be able to drive here. Public transportation exists but it's not very good.

Yeah our drivers license is valid in america. If you can drive a car you can drive a car. It's not like we're getting licenses for driving camels here. :P

I just checked the first random site that seemed to offer good prices (this one), you do the math from euro to dollar, but that's what .. 800-900 dollar?

well, that's not so bad. I looked at flights from texas to brussels in August and it's around $1900 on the low end (after taxes). Sheesh.

heh - I had a friend in high school who was German but here for the year. She got her license here at age 17 so she could use it back in Germany until she turned 18.

And seriously I'd love for you to visit. I put about $500 bucks into my parties which I try to have at least once every 3-4 months. And that does not include the random get together type of parties. So if you wanna come just let us know.

Hehe, will do. :) Right now getting a job is pretty high on the priorities list though, so can't plan too far ahead. Ah well. :(

As for driver's license...my colleague has a Puerto Rican (and as such, American) driver's license and told me it was recognized in some european countries but not in others. So rather confusing if you're planning to drive between countries. :P

There's also some sort of international 'validation' thing where you can get a 'worldwide' driver's license from. Not that I would ever visit that site given my current situation.
