Aight bitches!!

After way too long I appear once more to you suckaz! I am on paid leave again, at my parent's house in Belgium where I can abuse the intarnets in my own time again...even on my own laptop this time (they got wireless while I was away; apparently).

So, yeah, I live yet, and I still am without internet at my own place down in Prague. Long story as to why not (don't feel like explaining) but the only place I can access the web these days is at work at my gay slow-ass crap work pc with no access through USB etc. So can't even write something in the comfort of my home and then just copy-paste it from USB to this forum or any other place anymore...ah well.

Of course, technically speaking I could stay after hours and surf but I rarely feel like hanging around another hour after work to sit behind the pc some more :P I'm sure you can all appreciate that. And my boss is sitting right next to me at work (damn you open office space!) so meh.

Ah well, enough excuses! What have I been up to? Erh; not spectacularly much...I've been slacking at work, slowly learning Czech, dating (alas though, single atm), meeting new folks, gaming offline, reading, cooking, cleaning, checking out the corners of the CR and going to the movies quite a lot. Oh and drinking and partying from time to time, but that's slowing down because of the weather. Everything is still a-ok but I am thinking about changing jobs into a job that qualifies to a few standards:

-pays more, given my degrees and shit
-interests me (creative stuff if possible, or something with a connection to creative stuff)
-allows me to stay in Prague

Of course it doesn't necessarily have to meet ALL these criteria, but it would be nice. :) We'll see, if I quit my job in a few weeks' time I'll be able to leave somewhere early March with no financial obligations whatsoever re: the company. So, will be interesting...saw some jobs in Canada that I would probably be perfect for, and that was just at first sight. There's probably a ton to do apart from those.

It's kinda sucky that I've been away from CK so long; I've been reading your posts and all but could never be arsed to reply (because I'm such a slowass typer)...the more because my current setup (laptop, good laptop but nothing compared to a good desktop system of course) doesn't allow me to play the hottest new games anyway and I wouldn't be able to contribute to the discussion about games anyways. meh. :( Other than that I don't miss the internet that much anymore, but I'm deceivingly quickly getting used to having it at my fingertips in my own time once more...what I miss the most is going out in a game like GW (or other MMORPG's) with you guys and teaming up. Some golden memories there. :)

I was just doubting to download and install GW on my laptop again but I won't play it when I'm back in Prague anyway (no internet) so no use for the 30 gig download I suppose. Miss my chars tho! ;)

Enough rambling! How are you guys and girls? Professionally, emotionally, intellectually? What's your new gaming poison?

And last but not least: I recently bought the BG saga pack and played through all BG1, TOSC, BG2, TOB (+ ascension mod) with one character. WITH A PALADIN!!!! And actually, he was pretty awesome :P Didn't quite feel like 'me' but was and is a tough cookie. Atm I'm playing through the fallout series; still in Fallout 1. Good fun.

Great to hear from you man! I really have to crack open fall out, I'd just about finished fallout one last time I played it, but then it got put on hold.

Currently working for GAME as a crimbo temp, but chances of a job post-crimbo are looking promising. Other than that, life is slowly settling in to a nice routine with a fair bit of debt under my belt (or over my head?).

It's been forever man.

wtf is a crimbo?

Anyway, nice to see you again Ox. I was afraid you'd grown up and out of Clankiller. Glad it's just you being lazy as usual. :P

Not much has changed for me. I still have the same job though I spend al ot more time developing web software than I used to. Like, most of my time now. Beyond that I'm playing Tabula Rasa and EVE-Online for MMOs. Not actively playing any single player games ATM but I still have Medieval 2 installed (expansion) and Crysis.

Otherwise the same old crap. I can't believe you played through BG again. heh.

About time we hear from the oxmeister!

For me nothing much has changed, i got married (still have to put up some pictures, but hey ... i'm lazy as well :) ) but since we were living together anyway not much has really changed. But i can imagine for some it looks like a huge step.
I still teach, this year in 5th and 6th grade (16-18 year olds), i still like it.

Haven't been playing a lot of games, i finished severance, i play some online poker every now and then. Was playing the beta of pirates of the burning sea untill i noticed i'm on smallband. And with holidays coming up i won't have much time to play anyway.

Oh and if you played through Ascencion with 1 character, it proves again that palladins (and the weapons they can acquire) are mighty overpowered :P

"Crimbo is a slang term for Christmas, originating in urban slang before becoming more widely used." ... aaaah now i get it

ok, that crimbo thing was just annoying. Must be that whole Brit humor thing again.

J... 5th and 6th grade have 16-18 yr olds? That's bizarre....5th and 6th grade here has like 10-11 yr olds.

Lol, Bo' Selecta series 1 and 2 were great. Then 3 sucked. Then "Bo in the USA" was awesome.

Hey Oxy!

Yeah i'm still here but post/visit very infrequently. Uni had gotten too abstract and academic for my tastes, so i've now suspended my studies, cashed in for a foundation degree and looking for work. I'm really hoping to land this Business Analyst job in the new year, that would be effing perfect. Gonna have to pull out all the stops for that one.

Gaming wise, i'm blowing shit up on Blitzkrieg right now. Interesting you mention Fallout as i'm coming very close to getting a little FO2 on the go.

Going to Italy for Xmas but i'd rather stay at home and finish these heavy modifications I need done to my paintball gear for February.

Well we have 6 lower grades and 6 higher (called secundairy) grades for kids. So you start in kindergarten, and when you're 6 you're in first grade ('lower' education), when you're about 12 you've gone from 6th grade to first grade again, but this time it's 'secundairy' education. It's actually even more complicated, but i'll spare you the details :P

And after that you can go to higher education of course. Or do something else. But the kids i try to educate are 16-18 years old, some exceptions are already 20 but that's not my problem.
