Yea sad as it is - we have had in the last 2 weeks like 3 office shootings and now this school shooting. I believe this will be a growing trend. People can't take wrongs to themselves and people do not think before they throw those ills towards others.

Yea its probably in the newspapers all over the world. Soon US will have SWAT teams protecting school and public institutions.

This will spark another debate about gun control, and again the argument will be used that Americans should be allowed to carry around guns to protect themselves, but how many of these massacres have been prevented because the gunner was killed by a bystander? Is there any research and data about that?

You should arm all the school kids with AK's and see what happens when someone starts shooting then.

My condolences to the people involved, to those lost, to those who have lost someone and to those who this has affected.

This world makes me sick sometimes.

If nobody is shooting at them, they will start shooting at each other. That would happen.

The fact that the first sounds coming from the US government following the shooting were of the "we won't debate weapon possession" kind says more about the problem than anyone opposed to the possession could do.

While a stricter law on the possession of weapons is by no means a guarantee to stop these things from happening, it will definitely lessen the frequency and the scope by which they occur. I mean, the sucka bought the gun at a local shop and he doesn't even have an American passport. Like buying candy or a beer.

Anyway, he's a fucking huge loser and I hope Satan uses him as his personal asswhore for many centuries to come. Ruining so many lives over your own personal boo-hoo romance, makes me want to puke.

oh, is that what it was about? Personally I don't think it's a gun problem... it's just unstable people. They could cause similar mayhem with a car or even a knife.

BTW, personal possession of firearms has averted tragedies... you just don't hear about them because the body counts aren't high enough.

another school shooting. Eventually killed by a cop and a civilian.

Woman attacked in Wal-Mart by knife-wielding husband killed by conceal-carry Wal-Mart employee.

Anyway, I'm sure you can look up the statistics. Not all US states have concealed carry laws, but those that do did not have a rash of crime as a result.

I think nothing will change, for the next 6 months we might hear people taking sides and act all important but in the end it will quiet down.

And the people who died will be forgotten.

Schools have become so dangerous in the US, i think wearing bulletproof vests is becoming a necessity.

another school shooting.

He was your previous "recorder". So far I'm concerned he had been killed by two cops. No civilians were directly involved.

And how did he die?

Quote:
McCoy fired his shotgun twice, and Martinez fired six rounds from his revolver before taking the shotgun and approaching the limp Whitman and firing again point-blank. They then took the green towel that Whitman had brought with him, and waved it to those below, indicating that the sniper had been killed.

Indeed they wanted to make sure dude's dead when they approach. And even if it isn't so, it does not surprise me. It's bangy-bangy Texas.

just fyi

Once Whitman began facing return gunfire from the authorities, he used the waterspouts on each side of the tower as turrets, which allowed him to continue shooting while largely protected from the gunfire below, which had grown to include civilians who had brought out their personal firearms to assist police. (italics added)

Anyway, please keep in mind how large the US is... 300 million people. School shootings aren't exactly a common occurrence. But yes, schools are certainly not safe places. Police officers at schools is not uncommon... they'll usually keep a cop or two on site just in case.

What sucks is any state-funded school (and any state high school or whatever) is technically federal property and you can't bring a gun on campus even with a concealed carry permit. So even if I got a concealed carry license I wouldn't be allowed to have a gun to defend myself with.

I didn't tell civilians didn't take their part. Just that in the end he had been killed by cops.

Here no one will control if you have a gun, knife or even a sniper (properly packed) or a chunk of C4. They are damn illegal to have on street and even in your own home, unless you got a permit that's freaking hard and expensive to get. And even then, cops are permitted to bore you to doom when they see you having a gun.
