  Gates is a pretty strong supporter of science, I believe. I doubt he's purposefully funding something so anti-science.

No, he's not directly financing ID.
 Like Satis said, gates might be a bitch, he's not retarded. But all the same, I'd expect him and most sensible ppl to lay their hands off the think thank Discovery Insititute. if this is what they come up with, we're better off investing that money into an institute that doesn't use it like this.
