Not only that but it comes down to how bad is it if 2 people with defective genetics reproduce?

For instance, if a women or man knows they have aids, its a crime to have a baby because you practically sentencing that child to death. Is 2 consenting retarded people that same? Or, is their intelligence not high enough to understand their actions?

Under normal circumstances, people are judge in law by age. For instance, I believe their is a age limit on how old a girl can be and have a child. If she does, the state take care of the baby because she is still a child and can not possibly care and provide for the child.

But, retarded people are different in that they are old enough but not in there mental capabilities.

So maybe the criteria, and possibly the only fair ones, for retarded people reproducing would fall on 2 things.

#1 Is 2 consenting, retarded people who choose to have a child, knowing that their child would end up retarded a criminal act such as a person who knowingly has aids has a child.

#2 Are the retarded people mentally capable of supporting and providing welfare and safety for the child.

Regardless of both criteria, the retarded people are still allowed to reproduced and both criteria are the same ones regular people must meet.

Would a better solution be that retarded children, at birth, are surgically made to not be able to have children but still have sex? IE: women get their tubes tide, men get a vasectomy.

Would that option be fair?

You know, there was one other government that practiced screening/elimination and sterilization of mental ill and retards and that was Nazi Germany.
